
Most of my recent building projects have been in the form of club kits and although I knew a L/C meter could come in handy I hadn't persued one until now. I noticed many folks on the various forums recommending the meter from AADE.
I've been collecting parts to re-create my very first Ham Radio project, a CW/Phone transmitter from the 1965 ARRL handbook. A lot of the variable capacitors I found at swap meets weren't marked and I needed a way to determine their value. I finally order the meter and it arrived within the week. I've added some pictures and a bit of commentary for those who may follow after me or would like to see what it looks like before they purchase one.

The meter arrived via Priority Mail about four days after I order it. At left you can see the case and a plastic bag with the various components.

This was a fun project and took only about 2 hours to complete. I've been measuring all of my variable capactiors, B & W coil stock and all the inductors I can find in my junk box. This meter works well, was an easy build and I would recommend it to anyone doing much building. It will come with me to the next swap meet for sure.
